The N274 in Schinveld (municipality of Underbanks) cannot handle the expected traffic increase properly. The Province wants to fix this bottleneck by renewing the N274.

The N274 is an important highway for the municipalities southeast of Roermond, the German Selfkant and the north-east part of the city of Parkstad Limburg. The road is, next to the A2, one of the few connections between the south and central Limburg. It is also used as an alternative route for emergencies on the A2.
