In order to meet the (future) demand for transport capacity, NS ordered 118 train sets Sprinter New Generation (SNG). From 2018, the new sprinters will be driving in the timetable.

NedTrain will maintain these trains. This preventive maintenance and repair of defects are carried out at the Maintenance company Leidschendam. In order to maintain the new trains safely, efficiently and in good quality, NedTrain adapts the maintenance company and its layout.
